- Setting the final ‘goodbye’ right for our loved ones has never been easy. While having to cope with the loss of someone so special and yet expected to make the right decisions to select the appropriate Funeral Director - it is certainly a choice that even a level-headed person might find it challenging during time of grief. My family and I are glad to have the opportunity to start the conversations early with Celebration of Life. Nicholas is very compassionate, patient and attentive to our needs and provided the appropriate package for our consideration. Even before the engagement commenced, he was very helpful; going the extra miles to assist the family prepare the enhanced photographs and even listed what were the necessities to prep us, should the day come. On the day of activation, he and his team arrived at the Hospice within an hour (despite it was midnight). He was well-prepared and everything was smooth sailing from time of collection, to logistical set-up to every last minute requests for the agreed 3-day wake (e.g PA set-up to digital display add-on and etc). Each calls and text messages were handled with care and attentiveness. The guests who had seen the set-up were impressed. Indeed, it was so well-done. We were very pleased with the seamless end-to-end, one-stop service. As a matter of fact, the recommended package was not only appropriate, it was reasonable and no frills too. It was far better than a value-for-money package. The layout and casket looked serene, grand and most importantly, it was the conduit to a dignified funeral service for our loved one. Simply put, the Funeral Director did not relate our assignment as a commercial service. Rather, it was managed and delivered with compassion and desire to support the family to fulfil the wishes of our beloved mother/mother-in-law. The post funeral service and support were prompt and the team at Celebration of Life is certainly a group of professionals whom you can be assured that your loved ones will be well taken care during the end-of-life service. We would like to thank Nicholas and his team from the bottom of our hearts for helping us with our mother/mother-in-law send off in a warmth and grand manner. - When someone passes on, any family member will be thrown into a bout of confusion what to do next. We were very glad to have found Nicholas and his team to help us with my Dad’s send off. My dad’s passing happened in the wee hours of the morning, Nicholas promptly gave us a call to share with us the next steps within minutes of us reaching out to him. Everything was handled smoothly and Nicholas always stood by like a elder brother to share with us each step of the process and clear any doubts we had. My dad’s memorial and wake was set up beautifully downstairs our house and all our guests commented it’s one of the most beautiful wakes they’ve ever seen. - My father passed on the 11/Dec/2021. I sent a sms quite early in the morning to Celebration of Life to make funeral arrangements. Nicholas responded and as arranged with me arrived at NUH at the scheduled time. Everything seemed surreal to me. Although I knew my dad’s time might be up I sort of sat on the idea of planning what to do upon his demise. As the doctors had told that he would probably be around for the next 1 year or so, I put the idea of planning and alerting my family members at the back of my mind. When I received the call from NUH on 11/12/2021 early in the morning, I was dealt with the harsh reality. It was a Saturday. I remember texting Celebration of Life before but never really followed through. By the grace of god, I recalled the company and texted Nicholas quite early in the morning. He assured me to be calm and scheduled to come to NUH at 1030 in the morning after I got all the necessary paperwork. He also helped me with booking the time so that I would save money by not needing the cold room. Nicholas arrived on time and I was still groggy as I had not slept. I chose the Value Package. I dare say that Celebration of Life are the only funeral service in Singapore to offer such Low prices for all their packages. From arranging the cremation timings to collecting of my dad’s ashes, Nicholas stood besides me like and elder brother and made sure that all the funeral needs were met. I will never forget his generosity and tenderness at all. Dear Nicholas and team, on behalf of my sister and the rest of my family I thank you 🙏🏽. Through my dad’s funeral I learnt that Celebration of Life are all about celebrating our humanity when we need it the most.
